Moof
The legendary analogue filter, reimagined for guitar.
Moof brings the character of the classic Mutronics Mutator-style analogue filter into a compact, guitar-friendly pedal.
At the heart of Moof is an upgraded version of the SSM 2045 filter, designed by Dave Rossum — the same designer behind the original filter. Its sound is remarkably close to the original, delivering the distinctive analogue filter sweeps associated with the Mutator.
The original Mutator became a studio staple, appearing on recordings by artists including Radiohead, Beck, Daft Punk, Nine Inch Nails and The Chemical Brothers. However, its size, complexity and the obsolescence of the SSM 2045 made it difficult to integrate into a guitar rig.
Moof solves that problem.
Dynamic filter control
Moof gives you several ways to manipulate the filter's cutoff frequency.
Envelope Follower
Make the filter respond directly to your playing dynamics. The input signal is converted into a control voltage, allowing the cutoff to track your guitar's amplitude and playing intensity.
Three attack and release settings — Fast, Medium and Slow — let you choose how quickly the filter responds.
LFO
The built-in low-frequency oscillator provides continuous modulation of the cutoff frequency. Adjust the depth and speed to move from subtle filter movement to more pronounced rhythmic sweeps.
External LFO
Connect an external LFO generator to the rear-panel external LFO input. Plugging in an external source defeats the internal LFO, allowing you to use external modulation patterns and control sources.
Expression Pedal
Use an expression pedal to manually manipulate the cutoff frequency for real-time filter sweeps.
Analogue filter. Guitar-friendly format.
Moof takes the essence of a legendary studio filter and condenses it into a pedal designed to work with a guitar rig.
With cutoff and resonance controls, envelope-following modulation, LFO control, external modulation and expression input, Moof gives you a broad range of ways to make the filter move.
From responsive envelope filtering to slow sweeps and wild modulation, Moof gets the unmistakable character of the Mutator-style filter onto your pedalboard.
